I’m Michelle Cooper, the author of The Rage of Sheep<\/em><\/a>, The Montmaray Journals<\/em> trilogy<\/a> and Dr Huxley’s Bequest<\/a><\/i>, and this blog is where I talk about books and writing. The Montmaray Journals<\/em> are set around the time of the Second World War, so quite a lot of my blog ramblings are about twentieth-century British history. However, I also talk about writing in general, writing for teenagers and children, science, animals, and anything else that interests me.<\/p>\n

For those looking for me in other places on the Internets: I don’t use Facebook, Instagram, Threads or any other Meta-owned social media platforms because Meta stole my work to train their AI<\/a>; I don’t post reviews on Goodreads, because I don’t like the idea of rating books from one to five; I deleted my Twitter\/X account because Twitter\/X is a toxic garbage fire; and I’m not on [insert latest social media phenomenon] because I haven’t heard of it. Sorry. I do, however, welcome letters sent to me by pigeon or owl.<\/p>\n
