Barnes, long-time companion to Aunt Charlotte, doesn’t really need a poster to remind her to keep calm, but here’s one anyway:
Meanwhile, Aunt Charlotte is Not Amused by those little men in the government who think they run the country. Bolsheviks, the lot of them. In her day, they knew their proper place . . .
In Royal Blue, of course.
And that’s it for Keeping Calm this week. I couldn’t think of a poster for Simon – he’s a bit too enigmatic to sum up in half a dozen words – but if anyone has any ideas, leave a comment below and I’ll make one for him.
More Keep Calm posters:
1. Keep Calm, Sophie, Veronica and Toby
2. Keep Calm, Julia and Rupert
3. Keep Calm, Daniel and the Colonel
4. Keep Calm, Carlos and Henry
5. Keep Calm, Barnes and Aunt Charlotte
(If you’ve dropped in here and were wondering what this is all about, these people are characters in my new book, The FitzOsbornes at War, which is set in England during the Second World War.)
Hmm…maybe Keep Calm and Act Mysterious? Or Keep Calm and Further Your Own Means?
It seems that the contour of the words in Aunt Charlotte’s poster look somewhat like she is standing up and facing you – readying for a lecture, no doubt. It’s even complete with a crown on top.
Well, Simon becomes slightly less mysterious and self-serving in Book Three . . .
And yes, that is a very imperative poster of Aunt Charlotte’s!
I like Keep Calm and Beware of Sophie for Simon.
I loved that scene in Exile when she gave him the smackdown.
Oh, dear, I have to keep biting my tongue so I don’t give away plot spoilers for Book Three when I think about Simon! Maybe his poster should be ‘Keep Calm And Pay Attention To Sophie, Because She Is More Sensible Than You’ – but I don’t think that would all fit on the poster.
I hope that doesn’t mean Simon and Sophie get together in Book Three… I’ve never thought that they would suit each other.
I like the posters for everyone, especially Henry’s and Carlos’s. I’m looking forward to reading all about them next week.
All will be revealed about Simon and everyone else next week . . .
Hope you enjoy the book, Kitty.
