My New Author Website

My author website has had a makeover!

It had been a few years since I made any significant changes to my author site, but I’ve now fixed all the broken links, updated the information and reduced some of the clutter. Most importantly, it’s now much easier to look at it on mobile phones and tablets. (Thanks to HTML5 UP for providing the snazzy free template.)

I hope you find the site useful and easy to access. Let me know if you have any suggestions for further changes.

  1. Hi Michelle,
At least from my phone there are some real problems with your new website. Some of the links take me to a picture of an eight year old girl who does not look like you and instructions to return to the menu.
I would like to keep seeing your news about what you’re writing, whether it’s about Montmaray or possibly Fiji.
Sorry to bring you some not so good information- but I thought you ought to know.

    1. Oh no! I thought I’d tested each link on each page in the new website. Can I ask if you remember which links didn’t work for you? I’m now in the process of re-checking each page and I’m about 2/3 of the way through the entire site – but I haven’t found any problems yet.

I changed the names of some pages on my site (the pages with teaching resources) so that they would all be consistently named from now on. If you follow a link to one of those old pages from some other website, it will take you to the 404 error page, with the picture of the reading girl. Hopefully anyone who lands on the reading girl error page will be able to get back on track very quickly using the menu.

Thanks for the feedback, Megan – it’s much appreciated!
